Insert Table
There are three ways to insert a table using Selida:
1. Write it manually
2. By using the quick table feature.
3. The most powerful,(if you don't write it manually), by using the Table Wizard.
In these Help Files, let's take a look at the second and third methods.
Quick insert
1. Click on the button in the toolbar. This button is available if you are in design
mode, html mode and split mode. When you click on this button, a table will pop up directly beneath
the button. Move your mouse over the table. Some areas will then change colors. The cells that
are have changed color, (this is the same as your active color), are the cells that have been
selected to be inserted into the document.
2. If you need more cells than there are in the current table, place the mouse over the edge of
the table and the table will become one cell larger. The table can be maximized up to 10 X 10.
Should you still need a larger table, you can use the table wizard. To close the table, click
on the Selida window.
Table Wizard
The table wizard is designed to pop up when you click on the table menu item in the
Insert Menu. The window that can be seen then is a wizard that will guide you through the step
for creating an advanced table. This wizard has been designed to be easy to understand also. Here
is the process in steps:
·
Step 1.
In the first step of the wizard, a rectangular border, with a cross in it will become visible. This
is the table and the lines are the border between the cells - thus, the area between these lines
are the cells themselves. On the right side there are two buttons. One is designated with a '+'
while the other button is designated with a '-' sign. By pressing the button '+' sign button,
one row will be added to your table. By pressing the '-' sign button, one row is removed. There
are an addition two buttons with '+' and '-' signs on them. These two buttons have the same function
as the previous two. The difference is these two add and remove columns.
·
Step 2.
In this step you can change and edit many of the common properties for a table. It would be far
too extensive to delve into her, but if you have some trouble, refer to the HTML Reference Table.
·
Step 3
Content that is general to all the cells is used in this wizard. Choose the text that will be
inserted into every cell, (the standard would be nothing). Press 'finished' which will insert
the table and exit the wizard function.

Tip:
Insert the non-braking space if you want the table to be fully visible without
inserting other characters.
